396B

396-B, Jalan Dahlia 7, Taman Bunga Raya, Malacca; this is where we live. We moved in after our innocent Alpha days 3 years ago, and we've had a hell of a ride together ever since. The thing about living under the same roof with your university friends is that you do all sorts of interesting things that you wouldn't do usually, like going on drinking sessions every other week *wink wink*, or have exclusive 'housemates dinner' once in a while, or have crazy challenges against each other just because we can, haha! And that's how we came up with the idea of the Housemates Championships.
The rules are simple. Each week, one housemate gets to select an event, where it can be a sport or any kind of activity. The person who comes out last gets kicked out of the house, but only for a night, =), while the winner gets to come up with a dare for the him/her. To make it more Apprentice-style, every week before the challenges, each of the housemates have to pack their belongings, for once declared the loser, he/she is not allowed to return to the house until the next day.
So, we started of our Championships with the challenge chosen by Anne --> Badminton. So, at 4pm on June 18th, 2008, all of us dutifully packed our bags and headed off to Kipspot. Oh, wait, not ALL of us packed. Due to over-inflated egos, only the girls in the house bothered packing anything at all. The guys apparently thought Lilo & Anne would be pushovers, so they didn't trouble to pack at all.
First match: Jon vs. Mohan. It seemed like a warm-up session for both of them, seeing as it was the first match of the day, all just getting into the 'competition' mood. Mohan won the match, but it was a close fight, coz both were light on their feet, bouncing all over the court.
Next came CM vs. Lilo. The thing about CM is, he likes to look down on the girls in the house, n apparently he thought the girls would be pushovers for a guy like him. (Girls out there who read this: underneath all that pig-headedness he is actually a very lovable guy, *wink wink*) Thankfully Lilo put up a good fight, with t
he score reaching 21-18...
So we went on & on for 30 matches, round-robin style. When interviewed, Kai remarked that the match he enjoyed most was his match against CM. Sports is not about winning; it's about having fun as well...And he had fun going up against Mr Teo, even though he lost that round, =)
One of the most intense matches for Anne was also against CM. His big-headed attitude bothered her, n would have loved to take him down a notch by beating him. But most unfortunately for her, the game came out in CM's favour, but not without giving him a run for his money. 21-19, so close, so very close, sigh...
So, the final outcome of the day was:
Champion - Mohan (he put CM in his place, thankfully)
2nd - CM (hmmm...)
3rd - Jon (He can run all over the court effortlessly, honestly...Hard 2 keep up with him bouncing all over the place)
Consolation - Anne (really wanted 2 beat CM)
Consolation - Lilo (also really wanted 2 beat CM)
Consolation - Kai (read on for his thoughts on this whole event...)
As agreed upon earlier, Kai was banished from the house for a night, while the rest of the housemates headed home after a tiring game...But not before a hearty housemate-dinner at Lou Lou Sang, =D But still, it wasn't such a bad night out for Kai...He stayed over at Jared's home, watched 3 episodes of Friends with Joshua, n had dimsum for breakfast with the host. The only downside was there were so many mosquitoes around, and they all attacked Kai...LOL
Okie, that's all for now. Until the next Championship game!!
